Molecular Memory Nobel

Eric Kandel won the 2000 Nobel Prize for revealing the molecular mechanisms of memory using the sea slug Aplysia. He demonstrated that learning produces lasting changes in synaptic strength through distinct mechanisms for short-term and long-term memory storage.
