BRAIN Initiative Launch

President Obama announced the BRAIN Initiative in April 2013 — a $100 million federal investment to revolutionize understanding of the human brain. The initiative funds development of new neurotechnologies, large-scale circuit mapping, and data sharing infrastructure that accelerates all areas of neuroscience.
